Hailing from Waterbury, CT, Emptyeye is in fact one 21-year old musician who plays or sings every part on his songs through one means or another. Primarily a bassist, he also sings, plays guitar and uses the magic of technology to place drums into his tracks. Unlike most artists, Emptyeye chooses to commit career suicide by actively staying away from the common 4/4 time signature whenever possible, in true progressive-rock tradition. Yet unlike most proggers, he also eschews the typical three-minute solo sections of the typical prog-rock song, making his music a true enigma.

Story behind the song
The music to this song came about as I was playing around on my new Christmas present, an Ovation acoustic guitar. As a result of this new present, I went through a brief acoustic phase during which I wrote this song, and started another that I may one day finish. I honestly don't remember the motivation behind the lyrics, though I'll admit they're semi-autobiographical at the very least.
