Artist picture
Lake Fork Verne and his banjo. Original country and Americana songs. Songs of yesteryear, growing up during the great depression 1930's and the way things are
Just me and my banjo...writing and singing about how things used to be long ago in the 30;s and 40's and how those experiences affect today. I started out wanting to get on record these stories and songs for my grandchildren; but after doing it for a while, others have expresses interest so we are recording and putting them out there.

Can We Do It Again © by: Verne Garrison; Valley Park, Mo ; June 22, 2007 Banjo Tuned to Eb; play in key of D; moderate tempo Can We Do It Again I don’t (D) want any more dead-(G) ends Seems there were so many of (D) those For us early (A) on So many choices we had to (D) make And most of those choices were (G) wrong Don’t want no more dead (D) ends (A) From now (D) on Cant you remember how it was at the start? All the great plans that we (G) had Nothing could get in our (A) way But I didn’t count on a broken (D) heart I don’t know if we can do it (G) again Knowing what we know to-(A) day Can we avoid another dead (D) end.
