Lyrics
Written for my friend, former bandmate, almost sister-in-law, drummer and artist extraordianire, Marlise Mason.. SISTER MARLISE She’s a city country girl with long dark hair She’s a drummer and an artiste extraordianaire Chesapeake Lady - living by the bay Carousels and creations fill her day She's a poet and a songwriter from the Eastern Shore And she’s been enamoured by the water’s lure There’s magic in the lyrics and the music she writes Like dolphins in the sea - the stars at midnight chorus: Sister Marlise with the gift so rare She’s the rainbow’s daughter with dreams to share A Renaissance child in the 21st century She’s forever young - she’s forever free Saint Michael’s angel -spirit sister and friend The Bottom Dollar band will ride again Like desperados waiting for a train And Little Maggi plays in the Gentle Rain chorus Copyright © 2000 Davy Shannon.
