When I was 22 a young lawyer took one of my songs and put it on the ‘B' side of his recording of Ave Maria. He invited me to watch the recording session at Criteria in Miami, Florida. Since that moment all I have ever wanted was to have my music recorded by professional musicians and sung by established artists. This truly is a monumental task as I do not perform live so I have recorded my own material as a means to get exposure and as a way for artists to be able to judge the “cover” worth of my songs. I am looking for a publishing deal. Contact Info: Jim Blachura C/O Stablesongs Phone: 336 995 0813 E Mail: saintlymanmusic@yahoo.com Saintly Man Music /ASCAP

Lyrics
Chains on Their Feet / Blachura As he walked slowly toward you…at the governor’s reception Everything seemed so suave and neat And with that smile… on his dimpled face He made the whole room seem like it was ten feet deep From a distance he seemed to walk on water But you couldn’t see the chains on his feet She had everything… she could possibly want And never once thought… the price was too steep Then she would marry… a rising star And her life’s fortunes would then be complete From a distance she seemed to walk on the clouds But they also hid the chains on her feet The astrophysicist… and the Anglican priest Had quietly discussed… their plans to secretly meet To hash out their differences on the question of Darwin Versus the God of the Hebrews and the ancient Greeks From a distance they seemed to echo their beliefs But faith couldn’t hide the chains on their feet The young politician… and the freedom fighter Agreed to put aside …their differences to speak One promised to call in some of his markers The other would now devote her life to peace From a distance they seemed to talk the party line But no one could hear the chains rattle on their feet Mohammed Ali …sat down with the reporters After giving up ruefully…his champion’s seat He then said exactly what he seemed to think Although his demeanor was unusually discreet From a distance he seemed to speak from his heart But no one could see the chains on his feet
