Story behind the song
The lyrics originated with childhood humming. I later adapted the lyrics to tell of the early stage of a relationship, where one person is serious but the other person isn't sure whether he's ready for a commitment. The melody started out on the piano (see the piano version below). Here I use the same instruments as on "I'm Back." However, the overdriven bass is well up in the baritone range, losing the "crunching guitar" effect, and in places the lead distortion guitar is lost behind the synth choir. Still, overall a decent composition.

We've been going out for a month or two and you know that I care for you but lately I feel like you've been wanting more You ask me about the future but the future hasn't happened yet and myself, I'm living for the present I'm just hanging around, hanging around I'm not ready yet to settle down It's not forever, someday I'll move on Today I'm here, tommorrow I'll be gone. Please do not take this wrong I am not planning to be gone But I've been hurt before, I need to be sure (etc) Sorry, haven't finished writing the lyrics!
