Story behind the song

I came up with this ditty one night while walking the dogs.

I hadn't really written a song in a long time, certainly not since I've moved to New Jersey, and outside from a couple of covers and stray little bits of nonsense hadn't done any serious recording of my own songs. I've been itching to get back into creating my own music for nearly three years and now, with my PC back up and running, here's the first real fruit of that gnawing desire. I think it's shaping up pretty well, although the intro is a little too much like "Julia Dream" by Pink Floyd. Oh well.
