Story behind the song

"Collapse" is a work in progress.  I plan to change the ending (where I'm typically listing off things to do) to reflect more local community things such as... start a veggy garden, grow your own tomatoes, raise chickens for the best eggs ever, get a couple bee hives and harvest your own honey, insulate your home, switch to LED lighting.... etc.

Bill Mckibben's book "Deep Economy" discusses how important it is for us to begin true transformations towards a sustainable economy at it will be so important in navigating the near future successfully.  Many have written about the inevitability of collapse but it is equally important to recognize that steps we can take will rebuild community and rekindle our relationship with the earth we live on... I am trying to walk this balancing act in my song...
