When I was 22 a young lawyer took one of my songs and put it on the ‘B' side of his recording of Ave Maria. He invited me to watch the recording session at Criteria in Miami, Florida. Since that moment all I have ever wanted was to have my music recorded by professional musicians and sung by established artists. This truly is a monumental task as I do not perform live so I have recorded my own material as a means to get exposure and as a way for artists to be able to judge the “cover” worth of my songs. I am looking for a publishing deal. Contact Info: Jim Blachura C/O Stablesongs Phone: 336 995 0813 E Mail: saintlymanmusic@yahoo.com Saintly Man Music /ASCAP

Story behind the song
my teacher used to say this...he was from New York, had two masters degrees, was completely capable of doing everything for himself...but IF you did him a favor...for some reason he'd thank you with this 'country' saying
Lyrics
Much Obliged / Blachura Much obliged he’d always say when he thanked you Much obliged were his words of gratitude A simple smile and a nod of appreciation would always accompany his pleasure And then he wanted to tell you he couldn’t repay And much obliged was all that he could say Over the years there wasn’t much he couldn’t do And he would try to take the burden away from you When every so often he would need a helping hand His determination was the measure of the man He wasn’t tall just about 5 foot ten Something about him in his aging years made you like him when He’d drop a hint that he’d like something done Like time had passed him by and left him gone There was one last thing he asked of those he met Would they mind coming to see him once again The doors would open at 8 p m Where he’d take his final rest and leave of them And they all knew he’d be much obliged in the end
