Story behind the song
We've been set another lyrical gauntlet!! - Paul Hobbs suggests that a REAL challenge would be to put the phrase 'INTERCONTINENTAL BALLISTIC MISSILE' in to a song. So we decided to go one better and write a cheeky chappy cold war comedy song perfect for 'That's Life' about 20 years ago! We know Ron and Mikhail didn't start it but couldn't resist the rhyme!! Had to make a 'mind blowing' video as well - try and stay to the end for a treat!! - Anyone else want to set us a challenge we're up for it. Thanks agin Paul, great fun . . .
Lyrics
Verse 1
Ron and Mikhail thought an intercontinental?
ballistic missile was cute and sentimental.?
Through a cold war trial and not by accidental?
this atomic pile made peace inconsequential.??
Chorus??
Wah hooooh- The winter wild child?
Woo, hoo ooh -?We've been nuclear defiled?
Woo, hoo ooh?never in or out of style?
Intercontinental ballistic missile.
3,000 miles between depart and detrimental
Land based or mobile, like a tank or sublimental.
The rank and file with their lives so regimental
mutually beguiled by destruction monumental - assured!
