This is a musical description of the Po river (Padus in Latin), Northern Italy. It flows sinuously for more than 650 Km and often is divided in many branches. Almost always it goes peacefully in a green valley accompanied by some small waves and various whirlpools. Rather seldom it frighteningly thickens due to storms on the Alps and may overflow in the down part of its course. Fishers and painters are enchanted by this broad and delicate landscape.
