A nice acoustic track about sending letters to people, and ultimitaly about not being able to give up hope.
acoustic pop rock arkady
Arkady English and his acoustic guitar...
I am Arkady English, I am one third of the punk-metal band Suidicidal Ducklings. This is my outlet for anything not related to punk or metal, so its a much softer style. Unlike the Suicidal Ducklings, I don't limit myself when writing, and will put all sorts of sounds on...even if I can't add them to my recordings.

Story behind the song
I was inspired to write this song by a track on the ne Blink 182 album by the same name...I saw it and though "Thats a cool title" so I wrote a song with that title. It turned out much better then expected (I used an 8 sided dice to get the chords). I decided to keep it simple, stick to power chords and let the strumming do the talking. The lyrics are about hanging on to someone by the skin of your teeth (an exchange of letters) and part of you wants to let go and leave them behind. But the other part (the dominant part) is determined to keep that person a part of you life. This is one of my favourite songs because the girl I wrote it about, when I was visiting her, revealed to me she still looks at me "that way"...and that is one issue implied...does she still look at me that way? Is it worth holding for them? In my case, very definately, yes. It is very much a self fulfulling prophesy in that respect...I also have a picture of her on my wall now...she finally let me have one...a few weeks after I wrote this. (She still doesn't know I wrote it...poor gal)
Lyrics
So heres my letter Read it when you're thinking of me And when you're done, get it into your brain You'll never see me again So here's my letter I've kept it by my side I never forced my self to accept The last time we met really was (Chorus) And I. I kept you're picture It's still hanging on my wall I don't why I never took it down Through your rise/your eyes My fall So here's my letter Never dared to pass it on Remember how things used to be so good That's how I'm gonna make it be (Chorus) [And still I don't know why] And still I don't know why [And still I don't know why] Why I never cried [Why I never cried] After searching far and wide [After searching far and wide] I gave up let hope die [I let hope die] (Chorus)
