The divine reality comes not with observation in the world, but from within. And when it does, you can then see, if only for a moment, how and why it is right here at hand.

Original songs about religious tolerance and freedom, liberation, independence, peace, and justice -- Jeffersonian in nature.
More recent recordings of these songs, with better arrangements and with more instrumentation, can be heard at http://www.soundclick.com/Jeffers. (Click ) The songs here were his first recording attempts and are just first takes recorded in early 2009 when the now 73 year old artist's health was steadily declining. He felt he was dying, so he finally picked up his guitar again after 26 years of not playing or singing, and recorded as many songs as he could while he could still sing and play just enough to do it. Since then with a new diagnosis and medicines his health improved a bit and he can breathe a bit better, so he has been working, whenever he was able, to improve the recordings and the arrangements, and record them on a better, 8 track digital portable studio recorder. It was kind of touch and go, but when he had relatively good days he did what he could and he finally produced a better 12 song album that he is a little more satisfied with. But, even as they are the songs here also deliver an important and crucial message --- because the lyrics of the songs are even more relevant now than when they were written more than 30 years ago. Lyrics
RIGHT HERE NOW Some say the end is drawing near, They do not see the change in the air. They do not see the truth in the things they fear. They're too busy climbing those stairs. What do you believe? Does it serve us well? Or do you think you are part of a chosen few? You can change your mind, and start to dwell, On a heaven including us all, not just some few. Because heaven is not some far away place. It's right here now and at hand. Even though it's also beyond our time and space, With a single eye we can see it's here at hand. Our imagination can sow a seed. What are you planting in your mind? Do you see the world in the light you need? Do you know we're all one, and one of a kind? We can look to the future as we want it to be, Not how we're afraid it will go. If we all imagine heaven on earth, you see, That's the way this world is gonna go. Because heaven is not some far away place. It's right here now and at hand. Even though it's also beyond our time and space, With a single eye we can see it's here at hand.
