He left too, now it's all over...

All original; sorta like Bruce Hornsy without the piano and Tom Petty without the whine.
Currently in the Salt Lake area; formerly Reno and Santa Cruz... Guitar, pedal steel, dobro, mandolin, bass, keyboards, and vocals; sometimes in a band "with friends" or sometimes alone as a solo act. Original music, sort of a miz between Bruce Hornsby without the piano and Tom Petty without the whine.

Story behind the song
I used a technique on this song playing guitar with the thumb only. I had previously used the technique on an earlier recording and liked the results and the feel, so this song was written specifically to employ that method once again.
Lyrics
I gave all my love to her While she gave all her love to him; I found out, I was gone then he left too, Now it's all over...And sometimes, Nobody gets nothin' Nobody gets a thing Some people gamble on the horses; some people go to church and pray. They're all lookin' for a winner Or just one more chance to play--or pray... But sometime nobody gets nothin' Nobody gets a thing. Some how I wish there was some way We could throw the guns away and finally live in peace and play and Never see a violent day but Sometimes, everybody gets nothin' and nobody gets a thing
