Story behind the song
We were simply captivated by the emotion-ridden lyrics of instructions for use of a Digital Video cassette, left behind at Jed's house by Greeny. We also realised that "Pure Emotion" had no lyrics. It does now.
Lyrics
On inserting a cassette into you video deck, it's recommended to run the tape back first a little using the rewind and fast forward controls. This will ensure that the tape is loaded correctly. Don't leave the cassette inside the VCR. If the cassette is very cold, leave it at room teperature for at least two hours. Fast forward, rewind... To prevent accidential erasure, slide the switch. To record again, slide the switch in the direction of "REC". Always put the cassette in its case before storage. Store it in a vertical position. Printed in Japan. This was a VCR instruction manual.
