Classically trained pianist and composer Aksyn Elek (aka Boris Briozzo) has a deep appreciation for the classic masters Bach, Schubert, Schumann and Chopin, to name just a few. Like these groundbreaking forefathers of music he believes that music should always have something new to tell. His Electronica debut recording Embrace the Darkness is such an effort, blending together Intelligent Techno, Dark Psychedelic, House, Downtempo and Electro-pop styles with breakbeats and ambient vocals by Martina Sbarbaro and Silvia Cernicchiaro. When recently interview and asked how he could best sum up this debut recording he replied “it’s a blending of modern and classic...I want to try and make people see what they usually don't”.
In a series of late night sessions, "Embrace the Darkness" was recorded in Aksyn's recording studio in Menton, France. The title of the album is based on a poem he wrote "Creature della Notte," a type of ode to darkness, which he says “I consider the darkness a powerful soothing vacuum, which divinely rests our minds and senses, cures our wounds and heals our souls”.
Boris Briozzo, alias Aksyn Elek, professional electronic music composer, attained 4 Top Ten Awards on Ourstage, a site for international music competitions, and composed the First entirely Electronic Piano Concerto (1 big orchestra with no instruments, no performers, no conductor; sound's nearly perfectly emulated).
He's already been working with some important american record labels ( Sugo Music, Solea Group, Portico Music, Meritage Music, Monarch Records, Soundecor, PaseroMusicGroup) and with the well-known musician and producer Stevan Pasero.
