About Mary Ann and The Cosmic Harp -- ==================================== Born and raised in Southern California, Mary Ann learned to play Celtic harp as a teenager. Following a dazzling career as an actress and producer, Mary Ann returned to the harp as an instrument for the praise and worship of God. Two years of work in the recording studio has resulted in her best work yet. Please enjoy these examples of her work. [PS - Mary Ann did not approve of the word 'dazzling' to describe her career in this profile, but to my knowledge that is accurate - Webmaster.] ==================================== Mary Ann's last release, "Cosmic Christmas", sold out within ten days of it's release in 2006. A follow up album is planned for release in the Christmas season of 2007.

Story behind the song
Before going into the studio, I determined that the "lullabye" nature of this song would sort of dominate over a specifically seasonal aspect to it. So it comes across as a "Lullabye Fugue" type of song. You can say this about the entire album actually, it is meant to transcend the seasonal nature of other renditions, and be a meditative song one can listen to all year. I am very pleased - that that's what people tell me they do.
