a tribute to those old 'spaghetti western' film scores on kind of a swung bossa nova platform

Hi! I'm a guitarist, singer and songwriter currently living in Fredericton, N.B., Canada. I've been performing music in one way or another since the mid '60's, starting out singing tenor in a barbershop quartet with my brothers and then into a progression of bands playing rock, jazz, blues and country and... whatever. It's been a fun ride so far and I'm still as exited about it as the day I began. Ralph Atkinson

Story behind the song
the original idea for this was for the monthly Coconut Blues Club Challenge but I missed the deadline with only a half finished song. After I decided to finish it anyway, I no longer felt obligated to play up the film score theme, so it moved in a slightly jazzier direction. It still has that spaghetti vibe, though! Dedicated to Jude (Ekaterina) because it was her spark that ignited it.

Ralph this is one awesome track you have going on her, I love that tremelo tone, fine classy guitar playing and with a bossa nova going on as well. You are a spagetti western genius. Love it

This is just not your every day fare...here. Great diminished scales...cool interplay between the piano and the guitars. Love the tremelo. A very enjoyable listen...that gets better the second time....always a good sign. Nice! Hugs...Mike (NAV)
