Custom Rumpelstiltskin Blackguard type Tele pickup
Here's a clip of my new Rumpelstiltskin Custom Wound Blackguard style Tele pickup. It consists of Alnico 2 on the E, A, & D strings and Alnico 3 on the G, B, & e strings. Wound to 3.9 henry.

Story behind the song
So I contacted Aaron Campbell of Rumpelstiltskin pickups, http://rumpelstiltskinpickups.com/ , as I wanted him to wind me something custom that I was seeing in my head. I love Alnico 3 Blackguard style pickups, but I feel that the E, A & D strings are too dull and clunky so I first had him wind me a pickup with Alnico 5 on the E, A, & D strings and Alnico 3 on the rest. I also had him wind it to 4.6 henry which I learned was way too hot for me. I let him know and he offered to unwind it to my liking at 4 henry. The more I messed with it I discovered that it was also way too sharp and mid scooped on the E, A, & D strings and perfectly sweet on the Alnico 3 strings. Aaron then offered to wind me a completely new pickup and after some research, I took him up on the offer and had him use Alnico 2 instead of Alnico 5 on the E, A, & D strings. Alnico 2 is somewhere between Alnico 5 and Alnico 3 in strength and tone so it seemed to be perfect, and Holy Smokes is it. This pickup is exactly what I envisioned, sweet, articulate, and sharp. I also had him raise the D & G poles to make it balance perfectly. This pickup is PERFECT!
