Story behind the song
I was noodling around with a new {to me} Kyser short-cut capo and came up with the melody for the chorus. I've written a few songs now with the short-cut and I like the way it allows some very interesting chord voicing's.
This song came about with our praise team lamenting that there weren't many "new" Christmas songs. Some contemporary versions of some standards but not alot of really new songs.
The reason for the season is God's grace thru Christ Jesus. The "light" is God's grace given to us.
