The Time is 15 June 1815. A young Brunswicker cavalryman parts from his Lover. before the first battle, against the French, that was to become the main Battle of Waterloo. The Brunswickers suffered catastrophic losses in this initial battle, and the young cavaryman would almost certainly have been killed.
