A song thanking all mothers of the world... Again, acapella, but I'm sure music will come for this one too.

Hi, well, this is my first and only go at the music industry as of this point in my life. I used to write poetry and even got nominated as Amateur Poet of the Year (2003) by poetry.com. I suppose this is a natural progression for me. Anyway, country is what I grew up on, and country has brought me back to it's loving bosom. I went astray with rap and alternative rock preferences, but now that I'm 28, I just want to lay back and think about my roots. I write from the heart, though I do it without instruments. I write the lyrics and create the melody for my creations, so I hope you enjoy them.

Story behind the song
I just wanted to write a song thanking my mom for being there all of my life. Though I didn't appreciate her sacrifices then, I see them now. So this one is for all the moms out there!
Lyrics
My Bestest Friend (Intro) Have I ever told you, how much you mean to me, Have I ever held you, in my arms so tenderly, Have I given credit, to the one who gave so much, For all the years and sacrifice, and the life that you gave up… (Verse 1) And for the first time in my life, I know you, So many years it finally sunk through, Though times were tough with two young boys, Thrift store clothes and yard sale toys, Though difficult we were at times, And countless nights you walked that line, Just know until we meet again, Mom, you’ll always be my bestest friend… [CHORUS] So when you sit with dad and think of me, Just know I’ll love you endlessly, And deep inside I thank you for your love, For without you how would my life end, I need you here, you’re my bestest friend… (Verse 2) You were always so damn proud of me, Though why was such a mystery, I never thought I did too much, To earn your warm and selfless love, And now when life can seem so hard, I think of you, and I’ve come so far, Thanks to you, let me say again, Mom, you’ve always been my bestest friend… (Bridge) And every night, while praying I ask God, To Watch you and to send his love, And when you finally hear these words you’ll see… [CHORUS then end]
