One of the other songs that came to me, fully composed, "Mockingbird" is the only song that I will ever write just for me, because the song IS me: a musical Rorshach of my soul. Sounds cheesy, but it's the truth.
The song is also the closing piece in my as-yet-unrecorded set, "Sanctuary," which is inspired on birds and their birdsongs. If I had to describe it, it's Ravel meets Bill Evans at a Return to Forever session.
