Born and raised in Lawrence, MA. USA. SonChild is the youngest of 4 children. At a very young age his parents knew he was gifted with a special talent. His "Voice". Now, only 11 years old, this Puerto Rican/ American kid has accomplished more in his life than he ever imagined. Taking part in a tribute event for the September 11th tradgedy last year (2001). SonChild sang an original song called "To Be A Hero". His mother was then approached by a talent scout and was connected with 1 DirXtion Management. A new firm based in the Boston area for recording artists. During his interview he was asked to sing 3 songs acapella. He did Cyndi Laupers "Time After Time", Whitney Houstons "Greatest Love of All" and Wham's "Careless Whisper". Now, remember, this kid is only 11. Music from the 80's, hmm. 1 DirXtion Management signed him exclusivly and has been working hard for the past few months. And has recieved air-play on PARTY 931 (Miami Radio) and EnergyDanceRadio.com. Not to mention all of the other Online Radio Stations that have his song in rotation. "Merry-Go-Round" was indepdently released on LawTown Records on October 8th 2002. The single featured 5 Dance Remixes by some of the dance arena's hottest underground Producers/DJ's. They are Thomas "Autocad" Park (St. Louis, MO), DJ Light (Miami, FL), Roberto Stella (London, UK), and Universal Beat Embassy (New Mexico). This single is a "CLUB SINGLE". But be assured that 2003 will bring out the best in SonChild. In the works is an album of Pop/Dance music. (NO Release Date Set As Of Yet) The album will feature well known established producers including Freestyle Legend "LaMour". SonChild will be doing 2 covers "Change of Heart" by Cyndi Lauper and "Careless Whisper" by Wham! And the album will also include a 2003 remix for "Merry-Go-Round" SonChild was also looked at by Estefan Enterprise (Owned by Emilio & Gloria Estefan) and by a few major record labels including Fever Records, Sony Music and Arista Records.
