A great single power tube (EL84) and single preamp tube champ style amp with a lot more balls. Nice clean tone and great bass from an oversized output transformer. Just a tone and volume control
I always liked the champ but feel it has been a little held back. I built this higher gain version using an el84 tube. I used a hammond organ amp as the donor chassis. The transformers are built to handle 18 watts, so driving this tube set is no problem. Really sings with pedals as well.
