Lake Fork Verne and his banjo. Original country and Americana songs. Songs of yesteryear, growing up during the great depression 1930's and the way things are
Just me and my banjo...writing and singing about how things used to be long ago in the 30;s and 40's and how those experiences affect today. I started out wanting to get on record these stories and songs for my grandchildren; but after doing it for a while, others have expresses interest so we are recording and putting them out there.

There are always fond memories around food! Your lyrics all fit together so well on this song! I picture a few dishes of my Moms that she still uses to this day listening to your song!! Good job Verne!! Love, Rosie
