Songwriter, home recordist, and occassional performer. I write songs intended primarily for bikers who have either found Jesus or need to. For those that see
I've been a songwriter from the moment I picked up my first guitar. Over the years I've developed some skills on the keyboard as well which I use extensively in my home recording studio. I see myself more as a songwriter and session recorder than performer, though I do occassionally perform. Although I've written conventional and traditional material for most of my life, I gave up on it several years ago, primarily because there was nothing I found inspiring. Then I let Jesus come into my life and the inspiration began flowing like a river once again. I believe this is because God has a new mission for me, and that is to reach out and minister, through my music, to those in dire need of his saving grace. My audience is more likely to have tatoos and a motorcycle than a nice haircut and a minivan. This is for the folks who felt life rejected them from the beginning, so they have rejected life...but in doing so, they rejected the only thing in life that could save them from their misery. As one of the pastors from North Carolina's Freedom Riders stated to me, you can't ride free if you don't know what real freedom is, and only Jesus can give you that kind of freedom. I don't think you have to own a bike to have a biker mindset and to relate to this music. This music is for anyone who has felt beaten by life. Those who have tried all the worldly avenues to try and fill the hole in their hearts, but have found nothing but more misery and pain. For the hopeless in search of hope. And for those that have found Jesus and desperately hold onto that precious gift because they know, better than anyone else, how miserable life can be without it.

Lyrics
Running On The Edge © 2010 D. George You dona019t know how you got here, you just arrived one day. Whata019s left of your hopes and dreams is a broken life that wasna019t meant to be this way. You dona019t know how it happened, but it happened all so fast. Ita019s funny how the good times didna019t last. Like a runaway freight train, you cana019t apply the brakes You know how the story ends, so you ease the pain, by whatever means it takes. The bottlea019s are different, the poisona019s still the same. And you wish that there was someone else to blame. Youa019re scared youa019re too far gone to do the things you know you should. But the good things dona019t come easy, and the easy things arena019t good. CHORUS: a018Cuz youa019re running on the edge, gettinga019 ready to fall A pocket full of nothing, and youa019re about to lose it all. Ita019s hard to build a future, when youa019re saddled with the past. Youa019re gonna need Goda019s mercy to help you find some peace at last. When youa019re running on the edge about to fall. Everybodya019s left you, the onea019s that you called friends. The price that you had to pay for their loyalty wasna019t worth it in the end. The sound of a TV is the only friend youa019ve got. And somehow ita019s not as peaceful as you thought. The miracle you hoped for, never has arrived. All thata019s left of your dignity is the barest hope youa019ll continue to survive. A little self-pity, helps you make it through the day. How would courage help you anyway? You believe there just might be a God you could give your troubles to. But you find it hard to understand how he believes in you.
