Story behind the song
I wrote this song in a hotel room in Maine on a business trip. I was feeling down and had the need to remind myself that Jesus is our healer!
Lyrics
Verse 1 He has healed all my diseases * Performed His work in me * Delivered me out of Egypt * Now I’ll shout the victory * He’s given me His Spirit and His * Truth has set me free * I’ll praise Him from the mountains to the seas Chorus Hallelujah, praise our Lord * Lift the name of Jesus ever higher * I will kneel before Your throne * I live to worship you forevermore * The balm of Gilead now flows * Freely from your throne now I have been made whole * Loosed from my bindings and set free * Lord I live to worship You forevermore Verse 2 You have healed all my diseases * Performed Your work in me * You delivered me out of Egypt * Now I’ll shout the victory * You’ve given me Your Spirit and Your Truth has set me free * I’ll praise You from the mountains to the seas
