Rock style music unlike any other.
Please check out our web page: "Somewhere amidst the social anxieties, nervousness, and insecurities of life there exists a void between consciousness and slumber where a person can truly be free. Those of us that have been in this state believe that it is a sanctuary for the imagination and the origin of creativity." - Anonymous For five young musicians from Newnan, GA this state of lively unconsciousness has set forth the commencement of an amazing yet agonizing journey. Beginning their trip in mid 2003, the group set out to recreate the sounds they heard during their midnight slumbers. This endeavor proved to be impossible as they soon discovered that no one could accurately reproduce this music. They could, however, write about the music in hopes of doing it justice. And so, Sovus (sleep) Radio was born. Carefully balancing themselves between powerful rock songs and shoe-gazer soundscapes, Sovus Radio creates emotional music that both energizes and soothes the spirit of the listener. Combining vintage tones with innovative melodies, surreal keyboards, and violin, Sovus Radio has created a sound unlike that of any other. Very simply, the band hopes to one day be able to truly capture the essence of the music they hear just before they fall into dream. "We don't think we're doing anything groundbreaking yet," says guitarist Ty Thompson, "but that's the goal, you know, to eventually release an album that is totally original. That's all we can really hope for." With their strong musicianship and the ambition to never stop evolving, Sovus Radio is a must see Atlanta band. Having devoted themselves completely to their craft they are truly capable of obtaining their goals.
