Before parting, Guinevere gives her lover, Lancelot, a full kiss in recognition of his having rescued her from a horrible death by fire, instigated by her husband, King Arthur. Guinevere sets sail from France to England ,on a very calm sea, to return to her contrite husband, King Arthur, at the city of Camelot.
