I'm nothing more than a songwriter trying to present my creations as best I can. I realized I was a composer when I noticed tunes in my head that I'd never heard elsewhere. Lyrics come almost that easy now but my performance skills are lacking. Arranging my own music is time consuming so I often write lyrics to available arrangements when commercial value is not an issue. Although I could benefit from the performing talents of others, I'm a one man band.

Story behind the song
I worked at a department during a remodel. An outside door was often propped open at night during this time. I wondered if critters might sneak in through that door and find the popcorn machine in the nearby break room. They never did - except in this song.
Lyrics
If I had words to write a song for you, I'd sing of a Kohl's store golden and new. I would praise those who slept in daytime, to work in a store bathed in moonshine. If I had words to write a song for you, I'd sing of the hardships we all went through. I would praise those who worked in daylight, to keep us in business and do it right. (That's lame, Dana. Yeah, kinda sappy and old-fashioned. Who said that? We did. I'm Zeke. I'm Squeak. We're the Kohl's Mice. And you can talk? Well duh! And unlike you, we can actually sing. Hit it!) If we had words to write a song for you, (just for you!) we'd sing 'bout the Kohl's store we moved into. (That's right!) We will stay in this store for all time. (for all time!) It's better than life deep in moonshine. If we had words to write a song for you, (Just for YOU!) we'd sing 'bout a Kohl's store golden and new. (Just like new!) We would thank those who eat the popcorn, (Thank you!) and drop lots of kernels onto the floor. Who let the mice in? Who, who, who? Who let the mice in? Who, who, who? Who let the mice in? Who, who, who? (Who did let the mice in? The remodel crew let us in. They left a door open all night long. What's that noise? Popcorn. POPCORN! Let's get some!) Verse: Hurry, scurry, find a snack. Hurry, scurry, find a snack. We like flavor we can savor so we favor salty snacks. Sniffy, sniffy, licky, lick. Sniffy, sniffy, licky, lick. Little nibble, little dribble, we can nibble really quick. Munchy, munchy, crunchy crunch. Munchy, munchy, crunchy crunch. Chewy, chewy till we're through we like to chew a bunch for lunch. Swallow, swallow, down the hatch. Swallow, swallow one whole batch. Yummy, yummy in our tummy. Popcorn's gone in just a flash. Chorus: POPCORN! We love buttered, salted POPCORN! Stale or fresh it's all still POPCORN! On the floor we still eat POPCORN! Won't you pop and drop more? (repeat verse with chorus) Hurry, scurry, find a snack. Hurry, scurry, find a snack. We like flavor we can savor so we favor salty snacks. Sniffy, sniffy, licky, lick. Sniffy, sniffy, licky, lick. Little nibble, little dribble, we can nibble really quick. Munchy, munch. Crunchy, crunch. Yummy yum. Please drop us some.
