I'm nothing more than a songwriter trying to present my creations as best I can. I realized I was a composer when I noticed tunes in my head that I'd never heard elsewhere. Lyrics come almost that easy now but my performance skills are lacking. Arranging my own music is time consuming so I often write lyrics to available arrangements when commercial value is not an issue. Although I could benefit from the performing talents of others, I'm a one man band.

Story behind the song
I don't know what a Copacabana is, but I know what a banana is, so I changed the lyric.
Lyrics
When green they're bitter. When brown they're rotten. And while the yellow ones are sweet they're just yellow half a week. If they were siblings they'd be conjoined twins. Although I need just one for lunch they come gathered by the bunch. And what I really dread is when I split their heads. 'cause if they're just a little bit soft I might break their necks, but . . . Chorus: I can cope with, cope with bananas: the cheapest fruit south of Montana. I can cope with, cope with bananas. Just for the reason they're always in season I can cope with that monkey food. That monkey food. More than tomatoes, this fruit is fragile, 'cause if you bruise one tiny spot it will soon begin to rot. Inside the peeling it's slick and slimy. The skin is much too tough to eat so it's tossed into the street. And when I walk downtown I know I must look down or I'll slip on thrown out peel like some clumsy clown, but . . . (repeat chorus) Before I eat one I need to peel one, and so I slit it in the throat like a sacrificial goat. Then I can skin it to get what's in it. At least the meat's not bloody red, but it does have nasty threads. Such eating sure is gross but what disturbs me most is the carnage haunting my mind like a vengeful ghost, but . . . (repeat chorus) Cope with. Cope with bananas. I can cope with bananas. I cope with bananas. I'm going bananas.
