Story behind the song
It really came from a prayer and some scriptures I had been studying. I was going through a dry time in my Christian walk and wanted to petition the Lord through song to refresh my faith. It's funny - several local churches have used this song quite extensively over the years, yet I ran it past Marty Nystrom (As the Deer) at a worship conference and I could tell he thought it was horrible. To each his own. I hope it blesses you!
Lyrics
Chorus Walk with me (echo) * Talk with me (echo) * Live within me (echo) *Be my Lord and my God! (echo) * Teach me (c'mon and teach me now) * Fill me (won't You fill me up) * Lord embrace me (I need You) *Light a fire in my heart! (echo) Verse 1 For Your ways are higher than my ways (so much higher) *Your grace is sufficient for me! (it's all I need!) * Verse 2 Lord usher me (call me in) into Your presence (I need to see You) * I need to look upon Your face! (reveal yourself)
