When I was 22 a young lawyer took one of my songs and put it on the ‘B' side of his recording of Ave Maria. He invited me to watch the recording session at Criteria in Miami, Florida. Since that moment all I have ever wanted was to have my music recorded by professional musicians and sung by established artists. This truly is a monumental task as I do not perform live so I have recorded my own material as a means to get exposure and as a way for artists to be able to judge the “cover” worth of my songs. I am looking for a publishing deal. Contact Info: Jim Blachura C/O Stablesongs Phone: 336 995 0813 E Mail: saintlymanmusic@yahoo.com Saintly Man Music /ASCAP

Story behind the song
my son used to go down and spend his afternoons with this old black barber...instead of spending time at my store with me...it's not that he didn't like spending time with his Dad...it's just that Mr Walt was cool
Lyrics
Mr Walt (Long Time Coming) If you’re looking for Alex He’s at Mr Walt’s barbershop He stops in to visit often Parks his Hot Wheels ‘round the block A little white kid and an old black man Talking ‘bout the future and the past Mr Walt explains to Alex That the first shall soon be last Cause when Mr Walt’s not cuttin’ hair He and Alex sit in their favorite chairs Talkin’ about the day When neither one will have to pay for his dinner Mr Walt’s tellin’ Alex ‘bout his sharecroppin days And the little kid starts to yawnin’ in the heat and summer haze Each wakes up from a nap and Mr Walt opens a paper sack He eats his lunch and gives his apple to Alex for a snack It’s been a long time coming But you grow up way too fast The last is only first when it comes to Paying rent and buying gas If you remember what the feeling’s like You’re the lucky one today Cause you may not reach the finish line Before the reaper comes this way Now Mr Walt’s gone and Alex Up and moved to Providence For all the time they spent talkin’ You’d think that life would make more sense Six feet under or six feet tall Hold on to the feeling in your soul Cause the only thing matters when the ship is sinking Are the memories full of gold
