Story behind the song

This piece has been waiting around in my head for years, and I've never been able to get a clear understanding of how it should sound. For this reason it exists in more than one version here, and there's a clear possibility that I'll get back to it and do yet another version.

The text was begun some time in the mid 1990:s, but wasn't "ready" (actually it still isn't fiished) until mars 2002.
