Story behind the song
An homage to my buddies who served in Desert Storm and who serve now. WIP. 1st guitar track, clean electric, RP350 pedal effects, to sound middle eastern. still to do lead and distorted 2nd guitar. Started on this in 2001, first recording done in 2005 and this recording in 2010. Guitar is a clear varnished Tokai TST-'62 that I rebuilt and modified to have 2 dual humbuckers instead of the original 3 single pick-ups. Pick-ups are rubber-spring mounted to body instead of suspended from pick guard. All electronics redone by me. Features 2 selectable tone caps for wider range of 'personality'. Series-parallel switchable configuration on P.U.'s. 5 rubber dampened springs on tremolo-whammy block return - stays in tune now. Guitar went from closet back-up to always played first.
