modern chamber music and some ambient beats..
nicky quick is rapster's musical counterpart.. rapster does the vocals/lyrics/guitars, I do the synths and beatz. now that we have reason 4 and flatpack 3 with audition 3.0 coming next month (nov. 07) we are gonna serve you up with homecooked beatz and compositions. I use no quantization, I line stuff up by feel, eye and ear. I love to drag and drop it where i want it in the sequencer, program my own drums, input my own basslines and keyboard voicings live, etc.. update: I've added some of my chamber music to my page.. new works.. works dating back to the late 80s.. some of my music has won competitions, been recorded.. been published..

Story behind the song
the finale to my klangfarben I - V chamber symphony.. the five pieces now total 18:10.. in the finale i was interested in the canonic, polyphonic, contrapuntal and fugal aspects of the structure as well as the timbral, dynamic, syntactical and temporal dimensions and the proliferation of instruments and notes in building the peaks.. some unplanned tonal phrases found they're own way into the various forms of the harmonic schemes.. at 3:56 I'm feeling positive about creating a substantial and worthy finale to the set KLANGFARBEN I - V .. thanks for listening :-)

Yes, for the most of SC - and not only - listeners this kind of music in common and this piece in particular are very hard for perception - even impossible, but that for sure has not to be the problem for you, Joe, since you make the real art - just pure art! Moreover this is the art of the highest professional level - at least for my own opinion. During the listening to the composition some parallels have appeared in my mind concerning "Yellow Shark" of F.Zappa, where the principle of atonality had been very often used. Also it's possible to remember such greats as A.Schoenberg, R.Schedrin, A.Schnittke, O.Messiaen and others - I mean the main vector of the music. I've just put to one of my stations all parts of your "Klangfarben" - thank you so much, Maestro! ))
