Acoustic rock and folk rock with country, blues, and American Songbook influences.
Formerly "Dr. C and the Stratocats," I'm now on a solo career as "Dr. C," but I had to change my stage name here because someone else had already claimed it. My music strives for melody above all else; I strive to make my songs memorable, so you can whistle a tune immediately. I see melody as the element most lacking in contemporaryr music. I love Sinatra and the Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Paul Simon, anyone who can write a memorable "tune."

Story behind the song
This tune came to me late one night while fiddling with my Stratocaster on the fourth tone switch setting with the tremolo. I added the words later. One of my best love songs, I think.
Lyrics
Angel You are the star that descended to earth Into my palms to behold I was so blessed to witness your birth Inside my heart grown so cold When I am with you the sun is eclipsed Just by a brush from your radiant lips You are the diamond that shone in the dark You are my hearth and my home. I give you this ring to acknowledge my debt A debt I could never repay All of my life seemed like toil and sweat Until our sweet wedding day I’d no idea what love could entail Until you descended and parted the veil You are red rose that bloomed in the snow You are my hope and my stay
