A song about dreams. This is a demo version I recorded in college as a Multitrack Recording project. I will record a better version someday.
Lightly progressive and/or acoustic rock.
Right now, Phydaux is just me playing most of the instruments. Hopefully I'll be able to build a complete band from it based on some of the demo stuff I have here. It's also a vehicle to let me share my music with friends I don't see on a regular basis at the moment.

This song is about and inspired by dreams, as well as being awakened from a dream. And, of course, metaphors abound.
Lyrics
Darkness falls around me. A dim light brings a peace. (The moon so softly glows) Sleeping very soundly, I dream a new existance. (The mind leaves all it knows) My body lay behind me as my spirit arose. CHORUS: An escape from the world is just a dream away. Only silence is heard when I sleep tonight. A sudden light surrounds me, embellishing a tainted soul. (Darkness flees from light) I craft new worlds around me and change them with a single thought. (The mind regains its sight) I break the ties that bind me as my spirit takes flight. CHORUS My body wakes from the dream; a violent scream as darkness reigns. My soul returns to reality as imagery is supressed again. The dream has ended.
