Story behind the song
I wrote this song years back. It was during the month of Ramadan, Islamic holy month. I woke up very early that day cuz I had to eat in order to fast the whole day. Then in a sense of praying to the supreme being...I wrote the first few lines, and tuned it with my guitar. I think the tune came before the lyrics though...I just plugged the words in. And that was it. I must confess that a story of prophet Muhammed, in which he said that even if the sun is given on his one hand and moon on the other he would not refuse his submission to the Creator, was my basic inspiration for the lyrics, specially the first two lines...hehehe
It was unfinished until I met Fuad & Shihab in Nyc. I wrote more verses to the song...on the night of the recording...Fuad's studio was not ready...there were no voice room...so he put couple of heavy blankets on top of me...and there I was singing under the blankets....haha.
With out the help of Fuad Al Muqtadir, the great composer...hehe...this song couldnt be accomplished. Thanks Fuad...
And also Richard bhai (Zefyr), and Naayeem(Warfare) for the excellent, sweet....guitar works :p
