Story behind the song
This song was inspired by Moroni's lament towards the end of the Book of Mormon. I wanted to portray the anguish he must have felt at witnessing the people with whom he had fought for so many years be utterly destroy. A tragedy that would not have happened had they remembered the Lord. I started this project in 2006 when I was still but a teenager, but I decided to put it on the shelf for a while until my compositional skills reached a level where I could really express the emotions I was going for.
Wonderful piece.. very well structured with profound melody.. Congratulations!
