There are over 100,000 collectors of samples of barbed wire, mostly in the U.S.A....there are about 750 different types known,most of which fenced the old west; some of these there was less than one mile of it made.
Back in 1977 i saw a large Texas shaped frame with samples of barbed wire on it, the names of these samples gave me the idea to write a song about it, so this is for any collectors out there. I do not collect it.
