Originally background music to an animation I was working on based on the Echo and The Bunnymen's "Bring on the Dancing Horses." Picture horses on high mountain prairie gallivanting about. Rising up to dance with each other "clicking" hooves and bumping tails as they dance. They settle down for a bit to graze as the afternoon skies change. Thunder and lightning dash the peaceful scene and the heard takes gallops off. The sun returns, the storm has passed and the dance continues.
I put this together in hopes of finishing my project. It was to be dedicated to the Wild Horses of American now under stress from the Cattlemen's Assoc. and Department of Interior and Land Management. There is enough room only for "meat" cattle and not wild horses. Every month, hundreds of wild horses are killed or starved, shot at and wounded, left to die some with foals by their side. Very few are taken from the holding pens and placed in new homes. Most are being shipped off to be slaughtered for horse meat to Asia and Europe - My hopes were to make this animation for my good friend John Holland in Virginia. The only voice in the halls of congress in support of the American Wild Horse. Since having a stroke in 2009 this work was left incomplete. Medical bills and loss of my job have taken a toll on me. I wanted the music and Idea out there for now. Keep up the fight. Freedom, Justice and Liberty for all - Wyldhorse.
