Story behind the song
Jazz music could only be born in the city, an accelerated ecosystem brimming with lunatics, homeless, and people with more money than they could ever count. Only the chaotic frenzy of human suffering and bliss that occurs in an urban environment could give rise to something as equally cacophonous and unpredictable as jazz.
