Story behind the song

This song was a collaboration between my Uncle Mike Pfeifer, my dad, and me.  My Uncle Mike wrote the words as a poem,  and my dad and me put his poem to music.  It's been a fun collaboration and we will be doing more soon.

they threw me a lifeline I was too slow to reach
hope they can laugh when they think about me
wondering why they left me under this tree
