Story behind the song
Did most of the song in one day, trying out my new upgrade to Ableton Live 8; twiddled around with it for a week or so, then sent a mix, over the horizon, to John Izzard in France (don't you just love the Internet?). He sent me his amazing tracks, which I altered during his first passage; left the second part alone except for volume. I'm rather happy with the results. Thank you John!...oh, and of course, you too Carole!
Lyrics
'Shangri-La' Betwixt and between The mountains in the sky Nestles a place Where the eagles can fly This heaven This Shangri-La Is a haven for creative folk Troubles and cares wash away Sonnets wash over everyone With a river flowing freely Birds and butterflies Fly peacefully In the sun Ribbons flutter in the air A place more beautiful Than you have ever seen Where poets and musicians can roam With every colour in between!!
