Fractal Rock's first tune.

Story behind the song
This was the first song Fractal Rock recorded. Written by Dave Hawkins and Joel Martin, the original used a drum machine to supply the percussion. Later when Robert joined the band he fleshed out the drumline in a couple of hours. The tune was slightly modified later to accommodate Kris's Lyrics. It shows the diversity of Fractal Rock in their writing style and ability to play easy blues/jazz.
Lyrics
There's always something, in the way you look at things.
You're always taking, everything so wrong it seems.
And now I'm asking, just for you to listen in,
I'll tell you one thing...
I Say What I mean, I Mean What I say
so don't take it... any other way.
And don't read more... this is a silly game.
cuz I mean what I say, I say what I mean
There's nothing to read in-between.
Now I'm asking, to read what's written on the wall...
And I'll shoot straight, when you need to make a call...
I won't play you.
I'll say what I mean, I'll mean what I say
I won't play you, I won't slay you.
'n I don't know how, many times I must repeat
I won't play you.
I mean what I say, I say what I mean,
There's nothing to read in-between.
Why are you so slow on the uptake,
turning my world upside down?
I never said anything that
would hurt you...
You flipped what I've said all around...
You're overloaded with anticipation
of what you think I am thinking.
Breath...
Release....
Feel the peace...
I don't know what to say
not much more to convey
I've no more to relay
I am done for the day.
Peace...
