Written to represent a good imagery of autumn leaves. But its intent is to focus on how we all go through an "autumn" of our own. Beautifully sung by Dale Magnuson, with Theresa Procopio on oboe.

Autumn leaves have turned
Far from their hue of green
Reminders of the setting sun
Revealing all the days have come to leave
The brighter colors all replacing jade
The softness of their skin begins to fade
A scenery to behold
As youth begins to fold
And so the joyous medley that they made
In their smile All the while,
We are sure to learn
Autumn leaves have turned.
Autumn leaves have turned
Far from their hue of green
So too my lowly childhood days
And the life of carefree awkward ways I've seen
The hopes and dreams imagined from above
Infatuation blooming into love
And not afraid to try
Invincible as I
To spread my wings and rise up as a dove
And fly with great agility
To best of my ability
Yet recognize that I'll be older soon
For autumn leaves must fall
And realize it all
Wonder why, and will I
Realize it too
I believe I do
The right words, the right melody and the right person singing it. Great job, keep up the good work. Maybe someday I can say I knew him when.......
