Story behind the song
I was on a bus back from Washington DC for one of several trips during the healthcare debate. People were tired from not having had any sleep for 2 days but the general spirit was still upbeat. When people got on the bus some were laughing and high fiving others and some were quiet. I did this song as sort of a common cheer for all of us patriots. I asked Lisa Mei Norton when I finally got to meet her at the tea party convention in Nashville if she would take a look at my song. She did a wonderful job with vocals and accompaniment. I added my harmonies and some guitar.
