Uptempo, with breakbeat and techno/trance elements. This is the first song for our upcoming second album. Lyrically, it's about car accidents and the walking dead.

Artist picture
Electronic experimental darkwave synthpop - sometimes dark, sometimes dance, sometimes something else.
Sort of Erasure / New Order (musically) but with female vocals - ranging from sweet to angry. Best described as darkwave/synthpop with a twisted lyrical edge. The music of NURVIS combines 80's and 90's influences with contemporary electronic styles. In other words, NURVIS try to embrace those things from the past that got them into music, yet incorporate new sounds and new ideas to create something original and timely.

Story behind the song
This track is sort of darkwave/trance/techno. This one, and "Plastic" should set the tone the new album will be taking, which leans a bit more toward darkwave, with more emphasis on rhythm and drum programming. Lyrically, it's the story of a couple, who were both killed in a terrible car accident, but one of them hasn't realized it yet. As for the odd reference to a certain English food staple, we'll let you figure that out on your own.
Lyrics
Wednesday night A strange knock at the door Rising from the bed I fall and hit my head I am calling for you Friday night A strange hand on my face Shaking with a start I clutch my weakened heart There is no one in here You're haunting me Let's call it bangers & mash bangers & mash bangers & mash You know that I'm the one you always blame you've always turned up lame Let's call it bangers & mash bangers & mash bangers & mash Anyone can see that a wrong must be right In society without tranquility We are doomed for a fall Now take my hand Boney flesh in a wrist Stroke my throbbing head Pretend that you're not dead I am calling for you Never thought we'd meet again But always knew we might The screeching wheels and broken glass Those eerie sounds that night Face down in the dirt Your body prone without a struggle to rise That was our horrible fate that day We BOTH met our demise You're haunting me Let's call it bangers & mash bangers & mash bangers & mash You know that I'm the one you always blame you've always turned up lame Let's call it bangers & mash bangers & mash bangers & mash You're haunting me Let's call it bangers & mash bangers & mash bangers & mash You know that I'm the one you always blame you've always turned up lame Let's call it bangers & mash bangers & mash bangers & mash
