vintage, epic in genre of YES, Gabriel-era Genesis
Orion was a band that existed primarily from 1976-1981 It consisted of 3 future members of AVALON USA, Joel Pirard, John Curtin, Jeff Kalmar, and also CJ Truitt and Roger Schnur. Previous members included Brian Legierre on drums, Jay MacMahon on vocals, Tony Lugamano who replaced Roger for a time, when he left, as did Brian) on drums, but the core became Joel, John and Jeff, until Roger returned, and CJ joined up. These songs are from original tapes made in 1980 from board mixes. In at least one or two occasions, the tapes have been slightly damaged over the years. I am trying to locate backups (they did exist) to archive these. The energy and audacity of youth was apparent. Banana Sound (still in business in NJ) was the sound and recording company. To you, all these years later, who may remember us, I hope this brings back some pleasant memories--J Pirard

Lyrics
GLADRIEL JEFF KALMAR I STILL RECALL I STILL REMEMBER YOU SOFT IN THE DEWSHINE, THE SWEET MORNINGS AFTER YOU WERE THE SONG, YOU SANG OF MY FUTURE I COULD NOT SURRENDER UNTIL YOUR HAND TOOK MY PAIN SHADOWS OF MOONLIGHT PLAY IN THE VALE WINDS IN THE FOREST STILL SING AND THEIR SONG WILL PREVAIL AS THEY SLOWLY, CIRCLE THE MORNING, TURN ROUND THE CALENDAR FOLLOW THE FOUR SEASONS, DANCE IN THE DAWN MIST WITH ME YOU BELONG TO A DAYDREAM, HOW CAN I FOLLOW WHERE YOU GO? DAUGHTERS AND SONS OF THE WEST WIND STILL DWELL IN THE WOOD STRANGE WAS THEIR SPEECH TO MY EARS, YET I UNDERSTOOD. AS THEY SLOWLY CIRCLE THE MORNING, TURN ROUND THE CALENDAR FOLLOW THE FOUR SEASONS, DANCE IN THE DAWN MIST WITH ME GOLDEN HER YES, GOLDEN THE MORNING THE COLOR OF DREAMS AS THEY FADE IN THE SUNLIGHT I REACH FOR HER HAND, I REACH FOR THE MEMORY HER VOICE LIKE THE WINDSAND HER TOUCH LIKE THE GENTLE RAIN VISIONS OF STARLIGHT, SHINE IN MY EYES VOICES CALL OUT OF NIGHT AND THE GREENWOOD REPLIES AS WE SLOWLY, CIRCLE THE MORNING, TURN ROUND THE CALENDAR FOLLOW THE FOUR SEASONS, DANCE IN THE DAWN MIST WITH ME I WILL FOLLOW MY DAYDREAM, NOW I FOLLOW WHERE YOU GO THERE IS A STORY ASOLD AS THE SONG OF THE MOON THERE IS A PLACE WHERE THEY WAIT, I WILL TRAVEL THERE SOON WHERE THEY SLOWLY, CIRCLE THE MORNING, TURN ROUND THE CALENDAR FOLLOW THE FOUR SEASONS, DANCE IN THE DAWN MIST WITH ME
